Ashok Pandit told, “Farhan Akhtar filed a complaint with IFTDA (Indian Film and Television Directors Association), which I head. The complaint very clearly states that 3 weeks before the unit was to leave the shoot, Ranveer withdrew from the film and left.” don 3. Being in London, Farhan came on Zoom, while Ritesh Sidhwani visited the IFTDA office. Over the next two hours he explained the matter to us and why he had come to us. Then, as a rule, we contacted the other side. Every 10 days, we reminded him (Ranveer Singh) three times to meet us and also share his side. However, we did not receive any response from them. When we announced the press conference, we received an email saying that our federation does not have jurisdiction over the entire matter. It said, ‘There is no reason for your body to be involved in this matter.’

Birendra Nath Tiwari said, “When a film is made, thousands of our employees get employment. And when a film is suddenly closed, their employment is affected.” This is a huge loss Is. The federation fights for the rights of workers and also takes care of the producers. We never took any unilateral decision. If any manufacturer is affected then we have to stand with him.

He further said, ‘We feel that the message should reach the industry that someone supper star as per rules is not big. Therefore, we have implemented non-cooperation instructions against Ranveer from this very day. We would like to inform all the workers and associations that until the dispute is resolved and Ranveer Singh meets us, this instruction will remain in place. Since this is about the rights of a producer, I would also request the producer associations to extend their support.”

Ashok Dubey said, “All our members will not work with Ranveer, be they directors, cameramen, spotboys, lightmen etc.” Ashok Pandit also revealed, “This also includes advertising films as it also involves the same people from different associations and the same vendors.”

When asked what Farhan Akhtar asked for as compensation, Ashok Pandit replied, “Farhan wants Rs 45 crore. This amount has been accounted for and audited. They have told him, ‘This is the amount we have spent. You investigate, and if you feel there is something wrong with the amount, we are ready to accept it.’

He also said, “Farhan, Riteish, Ranveer ji and we all are ready to sit together and come to a positive conclusion.”
