Sanjay Gupta and Sanjay Dutt made a great pair and collaborated on many memorable projects. Sanjay Gupta directed the actor in eight films, namely: Aatish (1994), War (2000), fear (2000), forks (2002), Traveller (2004), alive (2006), Ten stories (2007), Alibaug (Unpublished). The actor also acted in two of Sanjay Gupta’s productions, Plan (2004) and Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007). In short, the two have worked together in ten films and if all goes well, they will soon come together again for the eleventh time.

During a conversation on the Incontroversial podcast, Sanjay Gupta confirmed that he has started work on the second part. forks. He said, “I am watching Sanju doing these films and he is doing a very good job. It cannot be denied. But first stalwart (2025), I also believe that he was badly wasted. The kind of films he did…filmmakers didn’t understand how to present them. They did not know his powers and did not take the time to study them. He further added, “We have also prepared a story at a very basic level forks 2. This is something I will start writing now.
Sanjay Gupta also revealed, “Later forks When released, it came with some legal strings attached and has now been addressed. Because it’s gotten attention, I’m creatively invested in writing the sequel. So, let’s see where he goes.”
Recently, it was revealed that the Bombay High Court has disposed of a commercial appeal involving Sanjay Gupta’s production banner White Feather Films and Pritish Nandy Communications, as both the parties agreed to resolve the matter through consent terms. As part of the agreement, Pritish Nandy Communications will receive a lump sum net amount of Rs 2.55 crore within 60 days. The settlement amount is less than the original claim of Rs 3.52 crore including applicable interest.
