Aditya Chopra makes way for Salman Khan, moves Alpha for Battle of Galwan from April 17!
When Alpha moved from 25 December to 17 April, Yash Raj Films had informed that more time was required to work on the VFX of Alpha to present this action entertainer to the audience in its best visual form.
“YRF had earlier announced April 17 as a placeholder date because it is a very good release window and no film was announced before that. Now, Aditya Chopra has learned that Salman’s Battle of Galwan was eyeing the same release window. The two went back and forth and he immediately decided that he would leave April 17 for Salman. YRF soon got the nod after the company assessed the industry’s film release calendar for the next few months. The new release date of the alpha should be announced,” said a senior trade source.
Directed by Shiv Rawail of the global streaming hit The Railway Men fame, Alpha pairs superstar Alia Bhatt and Bollywood’s rising star Sharvari. Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol also star in important roles. In the film, Alia and Sharvari will face off against Bobby.
