Speculations were rife that Mohit Suri’s upcoming film will star Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead role, marking their reunion after Aashiqui 2 and Malang. Later rumors surfaced that the actor had left the film. Now, both Mohit and Aditya have opened up on it and revealed what is the truth behind all the chatter going on.
In a recent interview with Bombay Times, Mohit Suri rubbished all reports of reuniting with Aditya Roy Kapur. The filmmaker said, “I meet Aditya Roy Kapur and Shaad Randhawa to play cricket. We hang out together.” He further added, “Aditya is a close friend of mine, but we have not met for work at all. The script I am working on is still not ready, and there has been no discussion on it. The script I am writing is not for Aditya Roy Kapur. Once my script and cast is finalised, I will tell everything.”
The Night Manager actor also shed light on this and revealed, “Mohit and I have met on the cricket field itself, where I am clean bowling him! So, I am not going to get any role from there. The news of me leaving his film is completely false.”
Let us tell you, Mohit Suri is one of the most sought-after directors in Hindi cinema at present. His film Syayara starring Ahan Pandey and Aneet Padda was a major blockbuster, earning more than Rs. 500 crores at the worldwide box office. Her next film will be directed by Akshay Vidhini, who also backed Saiyara. As Suri himself said, the film is currently in the scripting stage. Once this is complete the casting will begin.
