2025 was a busy year for actor Shaad Randhawa and three of his films were released this year. Two of these, soldier And a crazy person’s madnessPerformed strongly at the box office. Taking that momentum forward, the actor has now signed a new project with a legacy production house.
After the success of Syayara and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaneyat, Shaad Randhawa will join Sooraj Barjatya’s next.
Shaad Randhawa will next be seen in filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming directorial venture, starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role. The project marks his first collaboration with the Barjatya banner and the actor has already started shooting for the film.
Shaad said, “All I can say is that this is a completely different role from any character I have played before. This film is very special for me, because working with Sooraj ji has always been a dream. I am very grateful to Sooraj ji and Mukesh Chhabra Bhai for giving me this opportunity.”
While details of the film are being kept under wraps, Ayushmann Khurrana has shared that he is playing a character named Prem, a role that is a bit different from the traditional family entertainers associated with Sooraj Barjatya. He described the film as having a strong message without being preachy, whose tone and style sit somewhere between Barjatya’s filmmaking sensibilities and the kind of films Ayushmann is known for.
