After Thupparivaalan 2, Vishal to direct Magudam after creative differences with Ravi Arasu?

Vishal is currently working on his next film Magudam, which is said to be action-packed. While the project was initially announced with Ravi Arasu as the director, it now appears that Vishal himself will be directing the film.

Vishal replaces director Ravi Arasu for Magudam

In a recent post shared by industry insider Ramesh Bala, it was revealed that Vishal has stepped down as director for Magudam. Reportedly, creative differences between the actor and Ravi Arasu led to the director opting out of the project.

To save the film from being delayed or shelved, Vishal has taken up the responsibility of direction. In the video shared from the sets of the film, the actor can be seen directing the other cast through various scenes.

Although reports suggest that Vishal and Ravi Arasu have parted ways, the director recently posted pictures from a temple visit, where he sought blessings for the success of the film. Sharing the moment on social media, he wrote, “Today a special puja was organized for the film Magudam at Tiruchendur Murugan Temple. Heartfelt thanks to the temple administration.”

Ravi Arasu’s post has led to speculations that Vishal may serve as a co-director on the project instead of taking full control. However, an official statement from the makers is still awaited.

Before Magudam, Vishal had also taken up the directorial responsibilities for its sequel project Thupparivaalan 2. After a falling out with director Mysskin, the actor decided to direct the film himself. However, further updates on that project are still pending.

Magudam is expected to be a gangster action drama, in which Vishal will play multiple avatars. The film stars Vettaiyan fame Dushara Vijayan in the lead role, and the music and background score will be composed by GV Prakash Kumar.

Vishal and Sai Dhanshika’s wedding plans

Earlier this year, Vishal had announced that he would be tying the knot with actress Sai Dhanshika. The couple had initially planned to get married on the occasion of his birthday on August 29, 2025.

However, with the construction of Nadigar Sangam’s office building still ongoing, Vishal decided to postpone the wedding until the work was completed. Instead, the couple held an engagement ceremony, with a wedding date to be set after the building’s inauguration.
