After its warm and emotional reception at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, the teaser of Oslo: A Tale of Promise has been released. The much-awaited first look brings back the same gentle, heartwarming tone that audiences loved at the festival.

Presented and produced by actor and passionate animal advocate John Abraham, Oslo: A Tale of Promise is a deeply intimate, non-fiction film that depicts the deep bond between Oslo, a Siberian husky, and Pooja R. Bhale, founder of Protecterra Ecological Foundation.
Talking about the film and its teaser, John Abraham said, “The teaser is only a window, but even in those few moments, people can feel Oslo’s presence and the truth of worship. That’s all I expected. This film asks us to stop, listen, and see life through another’s eyes.”
Directed by Isha Punglia, the film explores how animals guide, support and heal us when humanity feels most broken.
He added, “We knew this story had its own strengths, but seeing people connect so immediately and emotionally is incredibly moving. The animals remind us that we can do our best. Oslo places that reminder in every frame.”
Pooja’s journey through Oslo shapes the emotional core of the film. Commenting on the release of the teaser, she said, “Oslo came into my life as a traumatized dog looking for a home and he became my teacher. He taught me to surrender, accept and love without fear. This film is his legacy.”
