Akshay Kumar has completed the Keralam schedule of his upcoming untitled film directed by Anees Bazmee. The actor shared the update on May 5, 2026, marking the end of an extensive shoot that took place in beautiful locations like Munnar and Marayoor.

Akshay posted a picture of his co-stars Vidya Balan and Raashi Khanna on social media. The image was set against traditional cultural performances from Kerala, including artistes representing Kathakali, Mohiniyattam and Theyyam, reflecting the local artistic heritage of the region where the film was shot.
In the photo, Akshay is seen wearing a dark brown outfit with sunglasses, while Vidya Balan is seen in a white oversized shirt and denim jeans. Rashi Khanna is seen in black dress. The presence of classical artists in the background adds a cultural context to the shoot location, which is often referred to as “God’s own country”.
Sharing his experience, Akshay wrote, “Keralaam schedule is complete! There’s nothing better than working with great people in a beautiful place. Big love to our director Anees Bazmee and my incredible co-stars Vidya, Raashi, Chhota Rajpal and the entire team for the madness behind the camera! It’s been special ♥️.”
The Kerala leg began on April 23, when Akshay and Vidya were seen boarding a private jet for the shoot. The schedule focused on outdoor scenes using landscapes from the area.
The film marks the fourth collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. It brings Akshay back with Anees Bazmee after a gap of 15 years. The project is said to be a comedy and is reportedly inspired by the Telugu film sankrantiki vasthunamHowever there has been no official confirmation on the adaptation.
The shooting took place soon after the release of Akshay’s latest film ghost banglaDirected by Priyadarshan.
