He wrote, “Right now, floods are affecting many parts of our country, with Assam being the most affected, which is facing incredibly challenging times. More than 60 people have lost their lives. Millions of people have been displaced. Entire families have lost their homes, their land, their livestock… and for some, even the people they love. It happens every year and it still haunts us.”
The actress further revealed that she will be using her platform to share information about organizations involved in relief work at the grassroots level and encourage people to contribute in any way they can. The note also said, “Assam needs immediate relief right now, and will need support for the long road to recovery. If you’re wondering how you can help, I’ll share some ways we can support relief efforts over the next few days through organizations working on the ground. #CircleOfHope.”
