Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan has bought three adjacent plots in Alibaug in Raigad district, worth a total of over Rs 6.6 crore, according to property registration data obtained by real estate analytics firm CRE Matrix. The properties located in HOABL Alibaug Phase 2 area were sold by HOABL Landbuild Pvt Ltd with the transaction registered on October 7, 2025.

Specific details of the purchase include Plot No. 98, spread over 2,734 sq ft, which was purchased for Rs 1.88 crore with stamp duty of Rs 11.32 lakh; 2,776 sq ft plot number 97, for Rs 1.92 crore plus Rs 11.52 lakh stamp duty; and plot number 96 measuring 4,047 sq ft, for Rs 2.78 crore, with stamp duty of Rs 16.74 lakh. Overall, the total built-up area of these plots is 9,557 sq ft with a total transaction value of Rs 6.59 crore.
Alibaug has fast become a favorite destination for luxury holiday homes among industrialists, celebrities and affluent individuals, and this high-profile purchase by Bachchan is indicative of the city’s growing real estate appeal near Mumbai.
