According to netizens, the film works on a completely different level compared to his previous films. He also said that Ram’s looks, acting and especially the emotional scenes between Upendra and Ram are excellent. He said that the music, performances and Upendra’s character are the major strengths of the film, and Bhagyashree has performed well and paired well with the iSmart Shankar actor.
Another netizen said that Andhra King Taluka is a heartfelt “a fan’s biopic” and Ram Pothineni shines in what he described as an emotional comeback. The person expressed that despite the slow start the second half and climax is strong, calling it a good watch for fans.
However, a third user had a different reaction and commented that the film is problematic because it glorifies what he described as a “brain-dead hero-worship subculture” and irresponsible risk-taking. He commented that he hoped for a coming-of-age drama, a genre he felt Telugu cinema did not understand.
