Money dedicated to scholarship
Anupam Kher received the Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement Award from the Government of Maharashtra on August 5, 2025 during a joint festival of 60th and 61st Maharashtra State Film Awards. The actor revealed that with this prestigious honor, the prize money will completely fund the scholarship for “poor poor candidates” in his school.
Tribute to Satish Kaushik
Satish Kaushik celebrated for his versatility in acting, writing and direction, died on 9 March 2023. He shared a decades long friendship with Anupam Kher, often called one of his closest friends in the industry. Apart from the scholarship, Kher announced that a statue of Satish Kaushik, smiling, as he was in life, would be installed in a studio in a studio of the actor.
