In a podcast with Raj Shamani, the actor explained that despite making conscious efforts to limit his visibility, he has little control over how he is viewed. “I’ve gone to great lengths to be as visible as possible,” she said, adding that the abundance of visuals online continues to define her image. “There are so many scenes of me on there already that you won’t feel like I’ve actually gone anywhere.”

She highlights how this constant proliferation of images often reduces their identity to appearances, engaging in a cycle of sexualization that is difficult to escape. “I didn’t like how people were liking me because of these visuals, because of these AI things,” he said, referring to edited and manipulated content that further distorts perception.

This has had a direct impact on his behavior and career strategy. Janhvi revealed that she now gives a second thought to even the most basic decisions, including social media posts. “I wouldn’t think, ‘Oh my God, I look hot, let’s post this.’ I think ten times because something can be taken out of it,” she admitted.

At the heart of his concern is how quickly audiences make moral judgments about appearances. “The audience judges your character by your clothes,” she said, underscoring how sexuality doesn’t have to remain superficial. It shapes credibility and opportunities.

As a result, Janhvi said that she often chooses to “play it safe”, especially at this stage of her career. “I wish I could say I don’t care, but it does make a difference,” she said. “Until I get that credibility, I’ll do what I have to do,” indicating that understanding perception is still important to maintaining and furthering her career.
