Now, it appears that the project is back on track. According to a report in Mid-Day, work on the film has progressed significantly in the last two months. The lead actors recently completed an extensive schedule in Mumbai in February, which reportedly included filming of large-scale song sequences. The film is being directed by debutant Akash Kaushik and produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga.

The portal quoted a source as saying,Jai Hind‘ is based on the Independence Day celebrations in Delhi. More than 700 dancers and junior artistes were involved for this song depicting the Independence Day Parade. Karan and Guneet felt that a colourful, patriotic song, made on a grand scale, would enhance the appeal of the spy comedy. It appears at a crucial juncture in the film. Ayushmann and Sara shot the track in two days.

The report further adds that the unit still has one end-credit number left for the film before director Akash Kaushik completes the project. The makers are reportedly eyeing a mid-2026 release.

However, it is worth noting that this project has not been officially announced by the makers yet. With production now moving forward, an official announcement is expected in the coming months.
