The upcoming Bollywood comedy Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh, has officially locked a new theatrical release date. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film will now release in cinemas on May 15, 2026, the makers have confirmed.
The announcement puts to rest recent speculation surrounding a possible delay in the film’s release. Earlier reports had suggested that the comedy entertainer would miss its previously planned March release due to pending post-production work and an incomplete song shoot.
A source close to the development had earlier shared, “The film will not release as initially planned because post-production is still underway and one song remains to be shot. The makers are confident they have a special film on hand and do not want to rush the final stages. They are keen on delivering a polished and entertaining product.”
The revised release date now gives the production team adequate time to fine-tune the final cut, making the postponement a strategic move rather than a setback.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra, with Juno Chopra serving as the creative producer, Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 introduces audiences to a fresh narrative led by Ayushmann Khurrana in the role of Prajapati Pandey.
