Malayalam action comedy Bha Bha Ba – Bhayam, Bhakti, Bahumanam releases in theaters worldwide on December 18, 2025 and early audience reactions have started pouring in on X (formerly Twitter). Directed by Dhananjay Shankar in his debut, the film stars Dileep, Vineeth Sreenivasan and Dhyan Sreenivasan, with Mohanlal playing an extended cameo role.
As the first day of shows began, social media quickly became a venue for quick reviews, giving a glimpse of how audiences were reacting to the film’s tone, performances and presentation.
Early reactions suggest that the biggest talking point of the film is Dileep’s screen presence. An early viewer wrote that “the biggest hype factor in Bha Bha Ba is always this guy’s presence,” indicating how much attention his performance is attracting.
Another response focused on a specific stretch in the narrative, saying, “The last 15 minutes before intermission. Dilipettan Maan… what a performance so far,” indicating that the block before intermission left a strong impression on viewers watching the first show. Another reaction reflected the level of entertainment in this film: “Totally worth every penny entertainment!!”
However, not all early reactions have been unanimously positive. A conflicting opinion described the film as “a gorgeously made mid-comedy skit, a spoof, and a completely forced, over-the-top, cliché fest.” This reaction indicates that some viewers felt that the humor and style were excessive and relied too heavily on familiar tropes, even though the scale and production values were different.
The technical crew includes cinematographer Armo, editor Ranjan Abraham and composers Shaan Rahman and Gopi Sundar. With a supporting cast that includes Balu Varghese, Baiju Santosh, Saranya Ponvannan, Siddharth Bharathan and Radin Kingsley, the film brings together a familiar mix of faces.
