Boney Kapoor’s much awaited film Maidan (2024), Ajay Devgan starring, finally released after years of delay due to Kovid -19. Despite receiving unanimous praise, it failed to work at the box office. Boney Kapoor said in an interview with Komal Nahta that he has paid money to all vendors, although he had suffered heavy losses.

No one was allowed to eat together. They did not need a refill of food. We were not giving them local water.
He revealed, “During the shooting of the match scenes, there was hardly any foreigner in Mumbai. Even if we had to multiply during VFX, we needed 1000-2000 junior artists to show a crowd of 40,000 people. Therefore, we had to fly to Bangkok for those sequences. For the stadium, we are shooting for separate universities in the stadium.”
