Although it is good overall, the film still lags far behind Deol’s last blockbuster Gadar 2. Nevertheless, Border 2 emerged as a clean hit venture. At one point, even a super hit or blockbuster verdict seemed possible, but the film could not maintain the same momentum on weekdays.
Having said that, Border 2 emerges as Hindi cinema’s first hit film of 2026. The film has performed better in the northern circuits, where Rajasthan is close to a blockbuster, while Delhi-UP and East Punjab have done super hit business. Poor performance has come to light in Gujarat and Central Circuit of CPCI, due to which Sunny Deol’s film could have been expected to perform strongly, but it did not happen. It is the second highest grossing film for Sunny Deol and the best film in the career of the rest of the actors.
