According to media reports, a part of the POP (Plaster of Paris) ceiling located in front of the screen suddenly fell inside Screen 1. This accident happened during the ongoing show, causing panic among the moviegoers present inside the auditorium. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the cinema management immediately canceled the show and evacuated all the spectators from the premises.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported. At the time of the incident, spectators were still in the process of entering the hall, which helped prevent a more serious outcome. Officials confirmed that all spectators were evacuated safely and the area was secured shortly thereafter.
The incident has once again raised concerns about the security and maintenance of cinema hall infrastructure, especially in older or heavily used properties. More information regarding structural investigation or inspection at the multiplex is awaited.
