A French tourist has gone viral for his clear review of a 46 -hour train trip across India – an experience he says that he was “broken” and desperate to return home.
Victor Blaho, a YouTuber is currently traveling through India, recently uploaded a video giving details of his long and challenging journey from Mumbai to Varanasi, then to Agra and finally for Delhi – using various classes on Indian Railways, including sleeper and third AC. While he hoped to experience the diversity of the Indian train journey, instead he faced what he said, there was a deep sense of exhaustion, chaos and discomfort.
Blaho in now-viral video made the crowded coaches, impure coaches and sleep sleep. In a segment, he films a rat on the floor of a train, followed by a cockroach -ayu that ignores it. “It is very dirty, it smells,” he describes his surroundings and says to the camera.

Lack of cleanliness was not the only issue. Blaho also struggled with noise, tight places and frequent interruptions. In an example, a fellow passenger insisted on interacting with his girlfriend on a video call, later revealed that he had girlfriends in both Mumbai and Delhi. The man tangled Blaho into conversation and video calls, causing him mentally drought.
“It’s three weeks in India. I now want to go home,” he said in a emotional clip. “I need peace, I need to be silent, I need a clean bed.”
On Instagram, Blaho reflected on the experience, writing: “46 hours in the lowest train classes across India … my main feelings? Despair and border madness.” He added a word of advice for fellow passengers: “If you have got the budget, book possible to the highest class.”
