Gujarati film Lalo: Krishna Sada Sahayate was a hit at the box office. Released in limited screens on October 10, 2025, the film grossed multiple times due to positive word-of-mouth. Whereas in the first three weeks the film’s earnings were slow and only Rs 1.5 crore was collected. Grossed with Rs 1.45 crore. 40 lakh in the first week, thereafter Rs. 30 lakh and Rs. 75 lakhs in the second and third week respectively. It emerged as the biggest surprise in the fourth week due to the strong reception and increase in the number of shows across the state.
Directed by Ankit Sakhiya, Lalo: Krishna Sada Sahayate earned Rs. Earned Rs 45 lakh on the fourth Friday, which was more than its opening week. He did not stop here but went on looting the money. Earned Rs 1.20 crore on fourth Saturday. 2.20 crores on fourth Sunday. The film remained extremely strong on its fourth Monday and earned Rs 2.5 crore. 2.10 crore, which is a slight decline compared to Sunday. The film recorded its biggest business day on the fourth Tuesday and earned huge collections. Tally 2.75 crores.
It closed on the fourth Tuesday registering a growth of 90 percent compared to the combined figures of its first three weeks, one of the rarest cases at the Indian box office. The film is priced at Rs. Has emerged as a blockbuster with. 10.15 crores in 26 days of release, including Rs. 8.70 crores came in the last 5 days.
In today’s times, one cannot imagine such a trend at the box office where films become duds in the first few weeks and opt for OTT release just 4 to 8 weeks after the theatrical release. Lalo: Krishna Sada Sahayate proves how a smart release strategy and good content can win the hearts of the audience, maybe not immediately but definitely in the long run.
It has already surpassed the lifetime theatrical earnings of Janaki Bodiwala starrer Vash: Level 2 in Gujarat. The film is also on its way to surpassing its global mark, which is highly commendable considering the cast and the cost involved in the project, that too without releasing in any other language. The kind of trend the film has shown is unprecedented. It’s hard to predict where the film will end. At this pace it can become the biggest Gujarati film till date.
