Hollywood movies Wuthering Heights and Crime 101 released on the big screens in India this weekend. However, none of them could achieve much popularity.
Wuthering Heights, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, opened with Rs. 40 lakhs in India. It registered a good growth on the second day thanks to Valentine’s Day, when it gained nearly Rs. Earned Rs. 1 crore. According to estimates, the period romantic drama may increase by Rs. crores. 60 lakhs on the third day, taking the total earning to Rs. Earning Rs 3 crore at the Indian box office.

Another Hollywood release, Crime 101, starring Chris Hemsworth, released to even worse numbers. The film started at Rs. 25 lakh, followed by a slight jump on the second day, when its price was around Rs. 60 lakhs. Estimates suggest that the film once again declined on the third day and collected Rs. 35 lakhs.
Crime 101 has a running low of Rs. Reached. 1.20 crores at the Indian box office, which is not an encouraging figure at all.

However, one should note that both Wuthering Heights and Crime 101 were released in India in very limited shows, with almost no marketing and promotion. Additionally, there were some Indian releases that dominated the weekend. It will be interesting to see how they perform on weekdays.
