The production of Yash Raj Films Venture War 2, produced by Ayan Mukerji, underperform at the box office, and, therefore, should wrap his theatrical race on a rather unhappy note. All hopes were pinned over this film of spying universes, but the content did not connect with the public, leading to a lower theatrical trend.
War nets 2 RS 65 Lakh on day 16, CUME approaches Rs 175 CRORE
The Hrithik Roshan Starrer, Kiara Advani and Jr Ntr finished her long opening week from 8 days to Rs 148.75 crore, followed by a sharp drop in the second week, because she could only make 25 breakouts. The two -week CUME of war 2 reached Rs 173.40 net in India. While Param Sundari has caught most of the screens today, war 2 went under the RS 1 brand.
According to the estimates, the film added RS 65 Lakh to the counting today, bearing the CUME of 16 days to Rs 174.05 Crew net in Hindi. The espionage action will now crawl for a few days before completing its theatrical race around the RS 180 brand crores. It will be the lowest silhouette for a spy universe film, even lower than the film published by Ek Tha Tiger.
War 2 fell into a routine scenario and dull marketing
War 2 was presented as one of the main contenders for the RS 1000 Core Club. However, the espionage action fell flat due to poor word of mouth, with criticism for its writing, CGI and VFX. Even the presence of JR NTR has not helped the film much much.
If the film had been well positioned, things could have been better. All eyes are now on the fate of Spy-Ver, Alpha, with Alia Bhatt, Sharvari and Bobby Deol.
