Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 completed 50 days in theaters yesterday. The mythological epic saga directed by Rishabh himself went on to earn handsomely. The Hindi version earned ₹208.25 crore during its 50-day theatrical run.
Released on October 2, 2025, alongside Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Sunny Sanskari’s Tulsi Kumari, Kantara opened to stellar earnings. 17.75 crores on the first day. The film recorded an encouraging performance at the box office and grossed Rs. 102 crore in the extended opening week. It continued to be good and included Rs. Joined. Earned Rs 51.25 crore in the second week. 26.75 crores in the third week.
After performing well for three consecutive weeks, Kantara: Chapter 1 (Hindi) had to face the losses of Diwali releases, Thamma and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. The film starring Rukmini Vasanth and Gulshan Devaiah was successful in earning huge sums. 17 crores in the fourth week, followed by Rs. Rs 7.50 crore. 3 crores, and Rs. 75 lakh in the fifth, sixth and seventh week respectively.
Now the film is expected to gross Rs 10 crore. Before leaving the theatre, perhaps Rs 20-30 lakh will be earned by the end of this month. Its lifespan is around Rs. 208.50 crore to Rs. Net 209 crores in Hindi. For those unaware, Kantara: Chapter 1 proved to be a clean hit in the North Belt and emerged as the third highest-grossing film of 2025 in the Hindi market.
