Thamma started its advance booking on a good note. The film starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui sold over 4,000 tickets within a few hours at PVR Inox. The total pre-sale across national chains will exceed 5,000 admissions.
This vampire comedy-drama will release a day after Diwali, one of the biggest days for the box office business. However, advance bookings are generally slow due to festive preparations. There will be a strong increase in sales on the day of release.
Despite mixed reviews at the box office, Thamma has started booking well in advance. The numbers are expected to increase further with strong walk-ins and spot bookings on the release day. Based on the current momentum, the film may cross the 15,000 mark by the end of the day.
Produced by Maddock Films on a huge budget, Thamma has three more days before its release. It will target sales of more than 1 lakh across PVR Inox and Cinepolis. The film also has a chance of garnering around 1.25 lakh to 1.50 lakh tickets before the first show.
Thamma will have a paid premiere at midnight
Interestingly, the makers are planning a midnight paid premiere on October 21, a day before the nationwide release. It remains to be seen whether the film can match the paid previews of Stree 2, the previous release from the horror comedy universe. These midnight shows will be exclusive to multiplex national chains in selected cities.
According to IHNS’s predictions, the film will make around Rs. There is a good chance of reaching. 17 crore to Rs. Earning 22 crores on opening day. Since Thamma is releasing on Tuesday, it will ensure a 5-day long opening weekend.
