The latest film Gujarati, Vash Level 2, was a surprise at the box office. The psychological supernatural thriller marked well during its opening weekend, both in the Gujarati and Hindi versions. In fact, the film draws around 50% from its total collection of Hindi markets alone, which is a great victory.
Serving as a result of 2023 released VASH, the film was released on Wednesday and jumped a regular Friday release. Beginning with RS 1.15 crosses during its opening day, the film remained strong Thursday and Friday and shot about 80 Lakh each, closing its first three days at Rs 2.95 net at the Indian box office. Starting Janka Bodala in the main role, with Hittu Kanodia, Monal Gajjar and Hiten Kumar, Vash Level 2 added Rs 1.75 crore on the 5th day, taking the opening weekend extended to Rs 6 crore net in India.
Interestingly, the film recovered around Rs 3.25 net of the dubbed version in Hindi during the last 5 days of its race. The continuation benefited from the Hindi belt due to the success of Shaitaan d’Ajay Devgn, which was a remake of Vash.
According to current trends, Vash Level 2 is expected to target strong trends on weekdays, then the second weekend. Since the film received a positive reception, it has the potential to bring Gujarati cinema to the national level.
