More about Mahan
Mahaan, starring Chiyaan Vikram and Dhruv Vikram, was released directly on OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on February 10, 2022. The film tells the story of Gandhi Mahan, a commerce teacher who lives a quiet, middle-class life with his Gandhian wife, Nachi, and his son, Dada.
One day, when Nachi and his son leave on a school tour, Gandhi decides to spend his day indulging in every vice that would otherwise have been shunned by his wife. However, a dramatic turn comes the day his wife leaves him.
Without any restrictions, Gandhi Mahan partners with a local liquor merchant and becomes king of the market. However, their lives take a strange turn when the grandfather returns years later as a police officer and an extremist Gandhian, bent on taking revenge on his father.
The rest of the film focuses on what happens between father and son and how their rivalry unfolds.
Apart from the father-son duo, the film also stars Simran, Bobby Simha, Sananth, Vettai Muthukumar, Deepak Paramesh and others in lead roles.
