Chiyaan Vikram recently announced his next film, tentatively titled Chiyaan 63. However, it will not be directed by Maveran director Maddon Ashwin. Producer, Shanti Talkies made the official announcement with a new poster, revealing Bodhi Rajkumar as the director.
Chiyaan Vikram announces next film with debutant Bodi Rajkumar
The makers announced through their official handle that Chiyaan63 will be directed by debutant Bodi Rajkumar. The team shared an intense poster in which a character, presumably Vikram, stands face to face with a vintage car and several henchmen, looking ready for bloodshed.
Sharing the update, the makers wrote, “Beginning an exciting journey! Happy to announce Bodhi Rajkumar as our director for #Chiyaan63. We are glad to have a newcomer directing a powerhouse like Chiyaan Vikram sir!”
Although further details about the film have not been revealed yet, it is being said that Bodhi Rajkumar is making his debut in Tamil feature cinema. Although little is known about him at this time, reports suggest that he is a short-film producer who is making the move towards feature films.
Interestingly, this is the first time in 23 years that Vikram will be working with a debutant filmmaker. Earlier, the Anniyan actor had collaborated with debutant director Balaji Sakthivel for the film Samurai (2003).
Earlier, Chiyaan Vikram had announced on his social media handle that he will be collaborating with Maveran director Madonna Ashwin for his 63rd project. However, it appears that the makers have decided to go with new talent instead.
Chiyaan Vikram’s work front
Chiyaan Vikram was last seen in the lead role in the action thriller Veera Dheera Sooran directed by SU Arun Kumar. The film tells the story of Kaali, a former henchman of a mob boss, who now lives a quiet life with his family.
However, when a daring new police officer threatens her boss’s life, Kali is forced to return to safety, and she is determined to end everything in one night. The rest of the film reveals what happens to Kaali, the police officer and the dacoit.
Apart from Vikram, the film also stars SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dushara Vijayan, Prithvi Raj, Balaji SU, Ramesh Indira, Mala Parvathy, Sreeja Ravi and many others in lead roles.
