De De Pyaar De is set to raise Rs 2 crore. Around Rs 11-11.50 crore were earned on Saturday, which is about 35 percent more than Friday. This brings the film’s two-day total earning to Rs. Approx Rs 19.50 crore nett. The weekend is headed towards Rs. 32 crores nett or so.
For comparison, the first De De Pyaar De was priced at Rs. 36 crore net opening weekend in 2019. The first day business of both the films was similar. Losing 10 percent of weekends isn’t a good thing, what’s even better now is that the business is more weekend-heavy than it was six years ago.
The film had a slow opening, but considering all the factors, it was not so bad. It was a viable start, given the film showed strong growth on Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, this did not happen. The film needs a big jump of around 60-75 per cent in business today. Being an urban catering film, Saturday’s Big Bounce is also quite typical. However, the film is getting only average growth. This won’t do any good unless there is a surprise with a big rise on Sunday, but the chances of that happening are not that high.
Low growth on Saturday makes it difficult for the film. Now he can hope that there is not much fall on Monday and then it remains at the same level. Some films have done this recently and, with the help of offers, ended up earning much more than they expected after their opening weekend. This may not be enough to make the film a hit, but it may give it a somewhat good score.
The box office collection of De De Pyaar De 2 in India is as follows:
