Badminton (PSB )’s Padukone School, established and funded by Deepika Padukone and funded by former World No.1 and all England Champion Prakash Padukone, have achieved an important milestone by setting up coaching centers at more than 75 ground levels in 18 Indian cities – including Bangalore, NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Zipur, JPur, Charnai, Cahnai, Chennai Udaipur, Coimbatore, Sangli and Surat – within the first year of operation.
Deepika Padukone’s PSB hit 75 centers in 1 year, settings at 250 by 2027
With its “Badminton for All” mission, PSB’s target is 100 centers by the end of this year and 250 within the next three years.
PSB founder Deepika Padukone said: “As someone who is playing a crook, I have experienced for the first time that this game can shape someone’s life – physically, mentally and emotionally. Through PSB, through PSB, I hope that we can bring badminton’s enjoyment and discipline for people in all areas of life, and create a generation.
PSB patron and advisor, Prakash Padukone said: “The game is an integral part of growing up – it inspires discipline, flexibility and a winning mindset that is well extended beyond the court. With PSB, our goal is to make quality coaching accessible and cheap, nutrition talent, and set a strong base for the future of Indian badmint.”
The vision of PSB is to democratizing access to quality and inexpensive badminton coaching, which provides opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels. Through its standardized, scalable coaching method developed under the guidance of Prakash Padukone, the organization wants to present a nationwide community of school children and working professionals to the game. Its purpose is to empower the aspiring coaches with certified training and permanent career paths.
PSB partners feed at the grassroots with schools, institutions and existing locations to establish academies at the 3 high-performance centers of excellence in Bangalore at their major training programs. With over 100 coaches trained under a structured certification program and access to state -of -the -art facilities, the PSB coaching system ensures continuity, quality and ability to identify and nourish future champions.
