The Delhi High Court gave a significant victory to Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kian, who was in the fight for the legacy of late industrialist Suzay Kapoor. The court refused to accommodate Priya Kapoor’s petition to apply a non-discourse agreement (NDA) or privacy section to heirs, allowing them to reach the list of Suzay’s desire and assets.

During the hearing, the court verbally stated that it would not pass an order for the Privacy Club, when the lawyer agreed to not disclose the information about the case along with the content of the list of assets.
Justice Jyoti Singh was unequal in his stand, given that such a situation could deprive children of her right to defense. “If they are tied to privacy, how will they ever protect their case?” The judge asked in the court.
By the end of the week, Priya – Sujay’s second wife – stepped back from his NDA push. Instead, she agreed to present the documents in a seal cover, a judicial machinery that prevents public disclosure for family members ensuring complete access. For Karishma’s children, this means that they can independently check the willpower and contest elections, which they have already condemned as “fake”.
Senior advocates were present for Mahesh Jethmalani, Samaira and Kian, strongly criticized Priya’s situation. “Two accounts have been cleaned and 6% shares have been approved. For me, nothing is confidential. What is to hide?” He argued before the bench.
The court has now directed Priya Kapoor that these details are to be shared with Sujay’s mother, Rani Kapoor and her children – but excluded from the public domain. Importantly, the judge dismissed Priya’s dialect to create a so -called “privacy club”, calling it an unfamiliar and inappropriate tool in Indian succession controversies.
The ruling Karishma strengthens the condition of Kapoor’s children, who question the authenticity of will and accuse Priya of financial misuse. At its core, the decision underlines a broader principle: heritage fight demands transparency, not privacy. And in this high-profile family quarrel, the Delhi High Court has ensured that Karishma’s children will have to say their own in the fight for their father’s legacy.
