Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is all set to hit the big screens this weekend, but before that, Dhurandhar is back on the big screen. However this is not a re-release but rather a screen expansion, as the first film never stopped playing theatrically. It was running on around 200 screens in its 14th week and now this number has increased to 800 screens.
After collecting Rs. Dhurandhar made Rs 787.95 crore in 14 weeks. 20 lakhs on its 99th day, thereafter almost double to Rs. Rs 35 lakh on its 100th day. 40 lakhs on 101st day. This brings its 15th weekend earnings to around Rs. 1 crore, making its entire 101-day running less than Rs. Done. Earning Rs 788.90 crore at the Indian box office.
Based on the current trends, the Ranveer Singh starrer will eventually collect Rs. 790 crores before leaving the theatres, which will be the highest ever box office collection in India for a Hindi/Bollywood film. Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge should aim to surpass this figure and set a new benchmark for upcoming releases.
