Several crew members on the set of Dhurandhar, the much-awaited Ranveer Singh-Starr, recently fell ill while filming in Leh, giving immediate medical attention. Initial reports estimated that the quality or cost of bad food on the set may have caused the phenomenon, but the local authorities have now clarified that the case was part of a comprehensive chicken contamination issue in Leh, which is unrelated to facilities or food provided by the production of the film.

A source associated with the project insisted, “This is one of the biggest films in production right now. Why will there be any need to cut the cost? Leh is an incredibly difficult area for shooting. It is a unit of over 300 people. There was a local contamination issue, due to which it is terrible that such rumors are running.”
Inner sources also said that the safety and welfare of the crew has always been a top priority. The source said, “Health, hygiene and crew safety is consistently considered as top priorities. Additional precautions and strict suppliers are now in place, even the unit has resumed work,” the source said, saying, assuring fans that the filming continues under controlled conditions.
Dhurandhar is now in its final stages of production, with a few weeks of shooting in Leh. The source confirmed, “We have a few weeks of shooting left here. We will wrap in Mumbai by mid -September and will come back.”
