The film Dhurandhar: The Revenge has been breaking all existing records and setting new standards since its release in theatres. The espionage action drama made the biggest ever non-holiday first Monday at the Hindi box office, earning Rs. Another record was achieved with earnings of Rs. 56-57 crores were earned on the 5th day. This is 45 percent less than Sunday’s earnings. Over Rs 100 crore and a decline of almost 25 percent compared to Friday, which is a solid hold.
Since the film had set a record on Sunday, miles before other releases, Monday was already going to be so big. Similar daily records are expected in the coming week days also. The dubbed versions are also doing well. For the record, the Telugu dubbed version of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge made Rs. It earned Rs 3 crore on the first Monday, registering a decline of 30 per cent as compared to the first day.
Post-Eid, the box office remains high in Muslim population centres, so perhaps there is some boost in play, but the catch has been great even in places where the boost is minimal or non-existent.
Based on current trends, the Ranveer Singh starrer is expected to cross Rs. Crossed the Rs 500 crore mark on Wednesday and ended its extended opening week with around Rs. 550 crore nett.
