Speaking to the media, Pramod Shetty said, “I have not received an invitation to Rashmika’s wedding yet. If I get it, I will go. We know she will not invite us, there is nothing new in it. As far as Rakshit Shetty is concerned, he is not a child who is eating chocolate and feeling guilty about it.”
According to a report in One India, Pramod said, “Rakshit will emerge like a phoenix. He made a statement recently, right? He hasn’t gone anywhere. That’s how he writes his films. He takes some time, then comes back and calmly makes a film. He is not in as much of a hurry as we are.”
For those unaware, Pramod Shetty has been a longtime friend and colleague of Rakshit Shetty. The Kantara: Chapter 1 actor starred alongside Rakshit and Rashmika in his debut film Kirik Party, directed by Rishabh Shetty.
Pramod’s comments about Rashmika and his marriage have gone viral on the internet, especially due to the shared history between the actress and Rakshit.

Since the wedding will not be attended by actors or colleagues from the film industry, the couple is expected to host a reception for their colleagues on March 4, 2026.
Rakshit Shetty’s work front
Rakshit Shetty was last seen in the lead role in the two-part romantic drama Sapt Sagardache Elo co-starring Rukmini Vasanth. The actor is currently in the writing stage of his next film, Richard Antony, due for a 2023 release.
The upcoming project is considered to be a sequel to his 2014 film Ulidavaru Kandanthe.
