A 61 minute long documentary, Dining with the Kapoor familyWas released on Netflix on November 21. It was shot around Raj Kapoor’s birth anniversary in December 2024 and features most of the members of India’s first film family together, i.e. Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Randhir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Agastya Nanda, Armaan Jain, Aadar Jain, Raj Kapoor’s daughter Reema Jain, Raj Kapoor’s granddaughter Anissa Malhotra Jain, Raj Kapoor’s niece Kanchan Desai, Raj Kapoor’s nephew Kunal Kapoor, Raj Kapoor’s great-granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda, Raj Kapoor’s son-in-law Manoj Jain, Raj Kapoor’s sister-in-law Neela Shammi Kapoor, Raj Kapoor’s grandson Zahaan Kapoor, Raj Kapoor’s nephew Jatin Prithviraj Kapoor and Raj Kapoor’s granddaughter Shayra Laura Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoor raised a lot of laughs with his quotes and what others said about him.
Dining with the Kapoor family: Aadar Jain reveals Ranbir Kapoor taught him “colourful language”; Analyzing his gossip-mongering side, Ranbir said: “Kareena Kapoor and I are like Google. We have the information; you have to search for it!”
Aadar Jain said, “Armaan and I spent a lot of time with Ranbir. We had a lot of interests, you know. We all played football on the same team. He bought me my first football boots. He was like my big, cool brother, who we wanted to go and meet.”
Ranbir then talked about Aadar Jain and his brother Armaan Jain, “Wrestling was a big thing at that time. And I used to use both of them as my guinea pigs; I was constantly throwing them around!”
During the lunch session, Aadar Jain talked about everyone and what he liked about them. Talking about Ranbir, she said, “Ranbir bhaiya once said that I shouldn’t call him bhaiya anymore. But how could I say no? After all, he has taught me a lot in life. He taught me the most colorful language in the world, and even asked me to repeat it in front of my friends! I performed for him. And he never told anyone. Armaan or Riddhima or mom, Kunal mama, Saif, Lolo, Bebo, No one except Bharat Bhaiya, Dabboo Mama, Kanchan.” Aunty, Bunty Aunty, Neela Aunty, Chintu Mama, Neetu Mama, that’s all!
After this he said about Kareena Kapoor Khan, ‘When Bebo didi meets me, the first thing she will say is,’What is happening?What is happening, What’s going on, come come come. Sit, sit, sit. ‘What the hell,’ she is full detective,
He also said, “Mum (Reema Jain) told me that Nana ji (Raj Kapoor) was also the biggest spy in the family. Both of them clearly got their genes.” Reema confirmed this and said, “He used to get every news in his hut. Similarly, he gets every news in Bebo and Ranbir’s house too!”
Neetu Kapoor said, “But they (Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan) never talk about it.” Reema sarcastically replied, “Oh, sure!”
Ranbir Kapoor put it perfectly, “We are like Google. We have the information, but unless you guys search for it, you won’t know!”
