Deewaniyat managed to collect a net collection of Rs 5.25 crore on Friday (24 October).
While this represents an overall decline of about 15% from Thursday, the hold remains solid as is the usual pattern of films winding down after a festival launch.
With these figures, the total collection has crossed Rs 28 crores, indicating a good performance of the film in the coming days. Interestingly, Ek Deewane Ki Diwaniyat may earn around Rs 43 crore in the extended weekend of 6 days, which is an impressive feat for a film of this genre.
After earning Rs 9 crore on the first day, the film earned Rs 7.75 crore on the second day, Rs 6.25 crore on the third day and Rs 5.25 crore on the fourth day.
The film’s positive word-of-mouth has helped it maintain steady occupancy in multiplexes and single screens alike. As the weeks progress, it is expected that ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ will do well and post festival success for Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa and become one of the notable hits in recent times.
