Malayalam film Eko starring Sandeep Pradeep in lead role along with Vineeth, Narayan, Binu Pappu and Biyana Momin continues its impressive performance at the box office. This mystery thriller drama directed by Deenjith Ayyathan has collected around Rs. Earned Rs. 17 crores at the worldwide box office. It earned Rs. 10.70 crore in its domestic markets, while international territories contributed around US$700K in 5 days.
Nearly 80 percent of its total domestic collection came from its home ground. It opened with Rs. Earned Rs 70 lakh in Kerala and recorded its biggest day on Sunday. 2.80 crores. On Tuesday, Eko added Rs. 1.70 crore in the tally, total 5-day earning is Rs. 8.80 crores at Mollywood box office.
Compared to its rival release Vilayath Buddha starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Eko is performing much better. For the record, Vilayatha Buddha could collect Rs. 4.15 crores in 5 days at Kerala box office. The Sandeep Pradeep starrer has received positive response, which is why the film is doing great. It will be interesting to see how far the film can go from here.
Directed by Dinjith Ayyathan, the film is doing much better than his previous hit film Kishkindha Kaandam.
