Excel Entertainment‘s upcoming action thriller ground ZeroEmraan Hashmi starring, is ready to get a rare milestone as it becomes the first film in about four decades, which has a red-carpet premiere in Srinagar, Kashmir. Set for 18 April, the premiere will be ahead of the film’s nationwide release on April 25, 2025.

The decision to organize a premiere in Srinagar holds a symbolic significance. The screening will be dedicated to the Indian Army soldiers and officers and the Border Security Force (BSF) deployed in the area. The producers have expressed that the film first shows those who serve on the frontline, in line with the patriotic subjects of the story.
Ritesh Siddhwani and Farhan Akhtar, directed by Tejas Deosar and under the banner of Excel Entertainment, ground Zero Emraan Hashmi starred in the lead role with a contingent of artists. Inspired by true events, the actor depicted BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, who led the operation to eliminate Ghazi Baba-a senior commander of Jai-e-Mohammed. Mission, which makes the origin of the film, is considered one of the most notable BSF operations in the last 50 years.
ground Zero Offering realistic depiction of the region’s territory and military activity, is completely shot in Kashmir. The film aims to highlight the less than a low-objective but important chapter in recent Indian history-the targeting operation of Baba Baba, which was allegedly involved in planning the Indian Parliament attack on 13 December 2001.
Supported by BSF, the film’s trailer has already paid enough attention, the audience has given positive response to the tone and the subject. In the days after the release of the trailer, a series of posters produced an expectation around the release of the film.
The red-carpet premiere in Srinagar is not only a promotional event, but also an indication for the region where the story is set and filmed. It is a rare example of a Bollywood production to launch in Kashmir, which breaks a gap of 38 years as any film organized its premiere.
Qasim Jaggia, Vishal Ramchandani, Sundeep C. Siddhwani, Arhan Bagti, Tawiz Films, Abhishek Kumar, and Nishikant Roy co-made, ground Zero Released in cinemas across India on 25 April 2025.
