Ayushmann Khurrana is currently enjoying love and appreciation for his portrayal of Betaal in MHCU’s latest film, Thamma. In an exclusive masterclass with IHNS, Ayushmann opened up about both personal and professional aspects of his life. During the conversation, the actor also highlighted his struggling days in Mumbai, his Roadies journey and how Shah Rukh Khan has been his inspiration through it all.
Sharing his journey from the radio and TV industry to predominantly youth-centric shows, Khurrana revealed his desire to do films before his big Bollywood launch with Vicky Donor in 2012. Expressing gratitude, the Thamma star reminisced about the past and also thanked how things worked out in her favour.
Like any Bollywood star, Ayushmann Khurrana was also inspired by the extremely talented Shahrukh Khan. Revealing an incident that strengthened his cinematic aspirations. Ayushmann told that while going to the gym in Andheri, he had expressed his desire to become a poster boy after seeing the hoarding of Shahrukh Khan’s 2007 release Om Shanti Om. Starstruck, Ayushmann himself wanted to be seen on a hoarding. In 2012, during the release of Vicky Donor, the actor had a full-circle moment and was seen on the same hoardings where Shah Rukh Khan once ruled.

When asked if Shah Rukh Khan has been an inspiration for him over the years, Ayushmann immediately replied, “Absolutely.”
Shahrukh Khan’s superstardom and fanbase is not limited to just Bollywood actors. Even Hollywood stars are equally impressed by his personality and talent. From John Cena, Will Smith to Hugh Jackman, the list is long.
Shahrukh Khan will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s film King with his daughter Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan.
On the other hand, Ayushmann will have three films released next year. The first will be Pati, Patni Aur Woh 2, followed by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment’s untitled film and then Sooraj Barjatya’s family drama.
