The memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 in the evening at Taj Lands End, Bandra, Mumbai. The ceremony will be attended by the Deol family as well as other near and dear ones from their extended family, as well as the film industry.
An insider told IHNS“In a touching gesture, the family has invited Sonu Nigam to present some of the most memorable songs picturized on Dharmendra over the decades. The singer is expected to present timeless songs that define the star’s on-screen romance and charisma… tunes that generations have grown up with and still hum with affection. The idea is to let the music do what Dharmendra’s own films often did: bring smiles, Wipe the tears and celebrate love, friendship and togetherness.”
Close family members, friends and colleagues from the film fraternity are expected to gather at the lawns along the Arabian Sea to remember the “He-Man” of Hindi cinema – the charming hero. Phool Aur Patthar, Sholay, Chupke Chupka, SatyakamAdi, dear grandfather of Our And Rocky and Rani’s love storyAnd an ever-present gentleman off-screen. Rather than a somber, quiet ceremony, the evening is being envisioned as a warm reunion of those whose lives he has touched in a career spanning more than six decades.
