Exclusive: Emraan Hashmi says Bollywood’s Crooks might have earned Rs 600-700 crore in theatres.

Emraan Hashmi is currently busy promoting his upcoming film HAQ, co-starring Yami Gautam. The actor, who became an internet sensation with his cameo in The Ba**ads of Bollywood, sat down exclusively with IHNS and talked about how he got the show. Hashmi revealed how he lost the chance to work with Shahrukh Khan in a film.

Talking about Aryan Khan’s debut show, Emraan Hashmi called it ‘politically incorrect’. He also said that if it had been a proper dramatic film it would have done wonders at the box office. Hashmi said, “You know, the first episode, I was watching with a few people. It takes a while to get you in. But then, if you come along for the ride after that, it’s like wow, this is different from anything you’ve seen. It’s very politically incorrect. It should have come in theatres. It would have done Rs 600 – 700 crore at the box office.”

The Awarapan actor revealed that his son didn’t like his cameo as an ‘intimacy coach’. Describing his son’s reaction, Hashmi said, “He’s a little embarrassed about it. Although he laughs at it, ‘Dad, come on! Intimacy coach?’

Apart from this, while answering a fan’s question, Emraan Hashmi expressed his desire to work in a film with Shahrukh Khan. He also revealed that he missed the opportunity to share the screen with King Khan and he would definitely like to work with King Khan in the near future. Hashmi said, “I worked with him, Mr. SRK, as a producer. Got a chance to work together in a film, which did not happen. But, hopefully in the future, if I get a chance to work with him in a film, I will definitely do it.”

When asked which film it was, Hashmi quipped, “I can’t tell you,” and laughed.
