In an exclusive conversation with IHNS, the famous filmmaker Priyadarshan, made a big statement when he talked about his 100th film. The director of Hera Pheri explained why he occupies a special place in his heart. Although he revealed that although there is not yet a concrete plan, one thing is certain, his historical project will be with none other than Mohanlal. During the conversation, the director became emotional when he remembers the superstar for shaping his journey and how their link as childhood transformed itself into a legendary professional partnership.
“There is no plan, but one thing I want to tell you is that my 100th film will be definitely with Mohanlal, because what I am today is because of him. If he had not become a superstar, I would not have really encouraged him to make films and to support my career. My 100th film, I can’t think of someone else because he said one thing: if it happens, it will be a record.
For the UNversed, the first cinematographic collaboration between Mohanlal and the director Priyadarshan was Poochakkoru Mookkuthi, a comedy opposite in Malayalam in 1984.
