Earlier called Panorama Studios Production No. 3, the upcoming crime, supernatural thriller will be called UNMADHAM, as exclusively reported by IHNS. Meaning Frenzy, the Malayalam-language project promises to showcase the volatile and intense world that unfolds as a police constable uncovers a long-forgotten case. Additionally, along with the first look of the project, IHNS has also revealed that the film will release in theaters on August 7, 2026, starring Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose in the lead roles.
ALL ABOUT UNMADHAM
Presented by T-Series and Panorama Studios, the film will star Kiran Das, who will be making his directorial debut with this project. He is best known for his work in several historical films, including Thondimuthalam Driksakshiyam, Joji, Moothon, Thranasam, Rorschach, Joseph and Ila Veeja Poonchira. National Award winning writer Shahi Kabir (Nayattu, Joseph) will write the film with music composed by Mujeeb Majeed (Kishkindha Kaandam) and action by Kalai Kingson (Marco, Bhramayugam).
The first look poster shows a police officer standing in front of a mirror that appears to be broken, and a mysterious man whose face is yet to be revealed. See image below:
Expressing his excitement, director Kiran Das shared, “Unmadham captures the state of paranoia – not just in the events of the story, but also in the experience of the central character. We want the audience to feel the uncertainty he feels. Is he really being chased by the supernatural, or is there something else going on? That tension is what drives the film.”
Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose will be directing UNMADHAM as its lead stars and both have expressed their happiness in portraying emotionally deep characters. UNMADHAM is presented by Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, T-Series Films and Panorama Studios, and produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. The film is co-produced by Ram Mirchandani and Rajesh Menon, with Abhinav Mehrotra serving as creative producer.
