Rajpal Yadav had a bad start to the year after spending a few weeks in jail in several check bounce cases. Now it has been revealed that the actor’s legal troubles are not over yet. Filmmaker Prakash Jaju, who is also Priyanka Chopra’s former manager, has filed a check bounce case against the actor. Summons have also been issued to bhaiyaji superhit (2018) Producer Mahendra Dhariwal and cash (2007), knock out (2010) and dashing (2022) Producer Sohail Maklai.

A copy of the summons issued to Rajpal Yadav by Farhan M. Qureshi, Judicial Magistrate First Class, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar district (formerly known as Mhow), Madhya Pradesh, has been recovered. The summons states that a complaint has been registered against the actor under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. According to the complaint, a check of Rs. Rs 5 lakh allegedly issued by Rajpal Yadav became dishonored when presented for payment. The actor has been directed to appear before the court on September 11, 2026.
Prakash Jaju, who confirmed, “I have registered a case against Rajpal Yadav, Mahendra Dhariwal and Sohail Maklai, and the court has issued summons to all three. I had given them advance loans and accepted checks as security. When they failed to repay the money, I deposited the cheques, but those checks bounced.”
When Prakash Jaju was asked how much money he owed, he replied, “Mahendra Dhariwal owes me Rs 50 lakh, Rajpal Yadav owes me Rs 25 lakh, while Sohail Maklai owes me Rs 40 lakh.”
During this time, Also spoke to distributor Ankit Chandiramani, who claimed that Sohail Maklai also owed him money. He said, “During the making of dashing (2022), Sohail contacted me for a loan of Rs. 10 lakhs. He also borrowed the same amount from director Vishal Mishra (director of Coffee with D, Marudhar Express) and Manan Sampath (executive producer) Lakshmi, Baby, Rowdy Rathod). Sohail had promised to repay the money, but he failed to do so. He even had his family members call me and make emotional appeals saying that they were facing financial difficulties and assured me that the money would be returned. They also told me that they were redeveloping a property and Sohail hoped to raise funds by selling it.
Ankit Chandirmani further said, “They returned Rs 3 lakh and still owe me Rs 7 lakh. Meanwhile, they are yet to return Rs 8.50 lakh to Vishal Mishra.”
Ankit said that he knows that Prakash Jaju has filed a case against Sohail Maklai and added, “I am also planning to go on the same path.”
