Three years after Kantara’s successful success, Rishab Shetty returns to screens with his prequel entitled Kantara: Chapter 1 This weekend by Gandhi Jayanti. The Pan-Indian film is being trendy at the moment and should dominate the box office, defining new references. Like Kantara (2022), Rishab Shetty not only played in the film, but also directed it. Interestingly, Rishab Shetty has not attended any media gathering in northern India for almost two years. “This will be the first appearance in the media in Rishab in Northern India in almost two years, because it has been fully occupied by the manufacture of Kantara: Chapter 1. Kantara: Chapter 1 set for a great release on the north belt
The long -awaited Kantara’s prequel will be published in Hindi on wide screens. Anil Thadani of AA Films has bagnted the distribution rights in Northern India. Hombale Films has already locked its OTT agreement with Amazon Prime Video, selling streaming rights for a large sum of Rs 125 crores. It is among the highest of all time for a Kannada film, and in fact the second best post-theatrical streaming agreement, after KGF 2.
For the UNversed, the film should be released on October 2, 2025 in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugou and Malayalam. He will compete with Sanskari Sanskari Sunny by Varun Dhawan in the Hindi belt.
