Recently, IHNS reported that Salman Khan is all set to step into the superhero space with The Family Man producers Raj and DK. Now, we bring another special update on the much-awaited film. Salman Khan and Raj & DK’s film is set to go on floors in October 2026. Promoted as a high-concept action entertainer, the project is being produced by Atul Agnihotri, with Mythri Movie Makers in talks to come on board as a studio partner.
According to sources, the makers are currently in the pre-production stage and are working on the scale, look and technical aspects of the film. A source shared, “It is a big-budget superhero film designed for a global audience. The team aims to begin filming by October 2026, when all pre-visualization and preparation work will be completed.”
There has been speculation about the film’s lead actress, especially Samantha Ruth Prabhu. However, contrary to the ongoing rumours, Samantha is not a part of the film. The source clarified, “The reports of Samantha being cast are completely false. The makers are still exploring options and will finalize the female lead in the next few months.”
This collaboration marks Salman Khan’s first full-fledged superhero venture, making it one of the most exciting projects in development. Expectations are already sky high with Raj and DK joining Salman. If everything goes as per plan, the film is expected to go on floors late next year, setting the stage for a grand reveal.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is shooting for an untitled action film directed by Vamshi Pedipalli. Dil Raju Presents, a film by Sri Venkateswara Creations, produced by Shirish and Kuldeep Rathod and co-produced by Rafi Kazi. Nayanthara plays the lead role and the film is gearing up for a grand Eid 2027 release.
