MirzapurAccording to a source close to the development, the actress has come on board for one of the most awaited films, which promises to bring a refreshing energy and an engaging arc to the film’s plot. There was discussion about Sonal’s casting in the film after the film was seen on its Muhurat in August.

A source close to the matter told us, “Sonal Chauhan has been included Mirzapur Adds a whole new layer to the plot, making it more exciting with the ample star cast. While the details are still under wraps, their association promises to elevate the film’s story to a new level.

The film, which was announced last year, will see Pankaj Tripathi returning as his fan-favourite character Kaalin Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, Divyendu Munna Tripathi and Shweta Tripathi as Golu Gupta. It also brings Abhishek Banerjee and Jitendra Kumar under one roof. The crime thriller, backed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, is directed by Gurmeet Singh and is expected to release soon.

Meanwhile, Sonal Chauhan is debuting with a Punjabi film. SheraCo-starring Parmish Verma. Written and directed by Savio Sandhu, Shera Will be released in theaters on 15 May 2026.
