Exclusive: the renowned Omkara Langda Tyagi Spin-Off in preparation; Kumar Mangat and Abhishek Pathak start the scripts

In 2006, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Konkana Sen Sharma, Vivek Oberoi, Bipasha Basu and Naseeruddin Shah joined for the first time on the Omkara led by Vishal Bhardwaj. The film, produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, was based on Othello by William Shakespeare, and was forward to win a national film Award in several categories. While all the characters have received the appreciation of the public and the criticisms, the one who continued to reach a cult status is Langda Tyagi depicted transparent by Saif Ali Khan.

19 years later, IHNS learned exclusively that Kumar Mangat and Abhishek Pathak provide a spin-off to the character of Langda Tyagi of Omkara. A Source Shares: “The character of Langda typed by Saif Ali Khan resisted the time test because it continues to find a mention in pop culture every few months. 19 years later, on the basis of love given to the public part, Kumar Mangat and Abhishek Pathak producers are ready for a spin-off in Langda Tyagi. The duo came across an idea that leads organically to the world of Omkara, and more, Langda Tyagi. »»

The source also informs that the writing work for Langda Tyagi takes place in full swing, and the manufacturers are looking to take the floors in 2026. As for the casting, all the details were kept under the Wraps. But will Saif Ali Khan come back? “It is a secret, which will unravel once the script is locked. Saif Ali Khan may well make a return to the world of Omkara, or the manufacturers could be corrected in a young actor to play the role, which makes a restart in the sense of true meaning,” concludes the source.
