In a shocking development, actor Sidharth Sharma posted on his Instagram handle that he has distanced himself from the Sunny Deol-starrer. SuryaThe caption of the post states that they have initiated legal proceedings against the makers of the film. IHNS exclusively spoke to Siddharth Sharma to understand what went wrong. He started off by saying, “This is the first time in my career of 7-8 years. I have worked with Balaji in T-Series for almost 5 years. But I have never faced anything like this.”

Siddharth further said, “When I was working on the reality show ‘Lock Up’, the makers of ‘Suriya’ approached Kangana Ranaut to contact me because they wanted me to sign their film. She also got my number through Vinay Sapru sir and Radhika Rao madam, who gave me my biggest hit till date ‘Leja Re’. It has 1 billion views on T-Series’ YouTube channel. Both of them are producers. Worked with (lotus crown). My love I swear this on you (2016). The producers also took his reference and got my number from him.
Siddharth Sharma said, “At first I didn’t entertain them. But when I was inside my brother called me. He told me that these producers had signed Sunny Deol and were looking for a young actor for an important role. That’s how the film was presented to me, that it was a Sunny Deol starrer. This was the time when I had already worked on Season 2 of Punch Beat. I signed a deal with them and we shot the film in Jaipur. Started shooting. It was 2022.”
She further added, “The first schedule got over. It wasn’t great, but it was okay overall. We had a contract that said I would get the signing amount and 20% of my remaining fees after 50% of the shooting was completed. The film got postponed. They kept asking for dates and after taking my dates, they kept canceling the shoot schedules too. Those were the days when they didn’t have much money. They also had the power and I think they felt it was okay to not honor my contract and not pay me.
he adds, “they used to talk very lovingly‘Son, shoot do itAfter 3 years, we are finally resuming shooting. ‘Finally Sunny Deol has agreed to shoot.’ “This is how they convinced me to shoot.”
Siddharth Sharma said, “I told that the contract was signed only in 2022 and asked for a new contract. Moreover, Sunny sir and others were getting a hike in fees. So, I also asked for a hike. They refused. I said, ‘Fair enough. But please pay me my remaining dues.’ SuryaThis is because I have a special look in the film. This way I gave everything to the film. Finally, when I asked for my dues, they refused saying ‘‘No money right now’ Or ‘We have not started clearing the payment’. I still kept asking him. One day he threatened me on call, ‘I am so Salary I will not do it. Whatever you want to do, you do it. you make yourself big hero Understands. so ban it hero’. This was wrong because I always spoke to him politely.
He said, “As per the contract, I have committed to dubbing and promoting. But I will not indulge in these activities until they give me my due dues. Moreover, they also cheated in a dramatic advertisement that they shot for Manyavar.”
When asked for details, he responded, “They said it’s part of a movie and it’s a scene. But I had the bound script and that scene was not part of it. ‘We added it creatively later,’ they claimed.” ‘Which advertisement? I did not shoot any advertisement with Manyavar. With no other option, Siddharth Sharma was forced to take legal recourse, “I sent them a legal notice, but they did not respond. This happened after I posted about it on my Instagram handle.”
Despite the poor experience, he said, “The film is fantastic. The songs are also very good. They have changed the film a lot. It is no longer the same script I signed for. But I have no problem with it because it is a creative call and if it benefits the film. But at least, pay me my dues and stick to the legal agreement. Otherwise, what’s the point of making compromises?”
While signing off, the young actor commented, “They are ruining the name of Sunny Deol sir. They pitched the film using his name saying ‘he is our is a hero; working with us Is’He further added that he has been in the business since the 1970s and has previously worked with legends like Rishi Kapoor.
